Karen has been an Austin resident since 1984 when she relocated from the East Coast. She periodically visits "Back East," but says "Austin is the only city in the U.S. I would even consider living in."
She was raised on the South Shore of Long Island, New York, where she cultivated a love of sailing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and subsequently earned a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the same institution.
Karen worked for Lockheed Austin and later for Lockheed Martin where she developed software mission planning systems for the Combined Air Forces. Her work there afforded her the opportunity to travel quite a bit in the U.S.A. and in Western Europe. Her knowledge of computers gives her an edge in the real estate business that is of great benefit to her clients.
Karen owns two condominiums in Austin's Northwest Hills area. One is her residence, and the other is an investment property. She has also remodeled three of her own homes, so understands that process well.
Karen decided to focus on buyers and sellers of condominiums, lofts and townhouses because she is uniquely qualified to serve that market.
